...she's b-a-a-a-c-k

waiting....

only 4 in this picture...but I've seen 5...
[in the snuggy nest...]
we have Thomas, Lucyfur, Charlie & Mattie...
with Mackie standing watch...

last night I looked at the thermostat...
it was 61... even with all the windows closed...
so I turned on the heat [set at 64...]
which made things comfortable...

up early this morning...
I needed to get gas[2 trips to Ahnoldtown will do that...]
but Thursday when I went by my local Shell...
it was still $3.659...
and in Ahnoldtown, I'd seen $3.599...
so I'd waited....

this morning, my patience was rewarded...$3.599...
so I filled it up...[10.5 gal/$37.25]

then I made my way to the market...
I promised to have some substantial snacks...
for the l-o-n-g-e-r rehearsal tomorrow...
and as much as the cold north wind made me want to make soup...
my plate is just too full this weekend...

so I got some finger sandwich makings...
some chips, crackers & other finger foods...
some fruit juice & chocolate milk...
paper napkins & plates...
and some storage items...

we have water...other snacks...
and there's hot beverages at the coffee hour upstairs...

supplies secured in the trunk...
I went to the vet's to get Molly...
she was SOOO excited to see me...
she was hopping around, singing her "happy song"...

she's still in the E collar for about another week...
the incision has stopped "weeping"...
and the infection is "going"...
[only 3 more days on antibiotics...]
she's feeling much better...
the confinement was the right choice...

I asked what I owed them...
[she had had the bandage replaced 3 times...
and had spent 3 days & nights, with medication...
they provided since I had left what I paid for at home...]
the tech just smiled and said,"don't worry about it..."

WOW... they could have charged me at least $30-40...
they fed & medicated her... and walked her...
so to have there be "no charge"... is a real blessing...

being pulled through the door & outside...
we went towards the car...
she couldn't wait...& sang her song...
all the way to the car...inside the car...
and on and off...all the way home...
[in between making sneak kissing attacks on my neck & ear...]

she didn't need to go...but was hungry...
so I fed her...and she gobbled it down...
including the bit of cat food left on their plate...
for dessert, of course...

then proceeded to sing her song again...
while licking her chops...

leaving the vet...
she went right to my car...
and when we got home...
she went right to the front door...
went right in and touched nose with Mattie...
[who's behind her in this picture...

I think she's really glad to be home...
and we're glad she's here...

I think it's perfect that you have a singing dog! :D

...and it's been NON-STOP [almost]
singing & licking & dancing...
with only brief rest stops for a walk and snacks...

she's currently stalking the cat food... \;D...
