...savoring the "waiting" moments

I love fall...

and even though this year's foliage is not as spectacular as last's...
I'm having an attack of "click-click fever"...
and have been out & about, trying to capture the light & colors...
before they are gone with a storm...



the "Narnia tree"...is just starting to color...
[I call it that because of the lamp post...]
2 years ago, before I got used to carrying my camera...
it took my breath away one evening, illuminated by the lamp light...



last year, I discovered "Macro"...
this year, it's "Infinity + Zoom"...
[I should probably carry my unipod for stability...]



I was trying for the "Trees Aglow" from the day before...
but had to accept that some moments don't repeat...
just because you missed the chance or you'd like them to...
sadly, true for more than just "photo-ops"...



so I wait, having had it made clear to me...
that I will receive guidance on the employment front...
and that when I'm told what to do, I must follow the instructions...
but until then, I must wait, anticipating wonderful things to come...

not a bad mind set with which to enter Advent[starting Nov.29]...

I fill my days with the little things...
the simple things... those "details" that God loves...
& practice being thankful for everything...
pleasant or not, as it all is part of the plan...

and wait...

God is good, All the time...

...another walk in the park...

they said that it would clear by 10 AM...
I don't think so...
since I'll be gone in the middle of the day today...
I wanted to take Molly for a long walk now...



and she, of course is always ready to go to the park..



dark & gloomy skies still can't keep the fall color from glowing...



not as misty as I've seen it...



but we have more low clouds than fog...



and the light breeze across the wet ground...



was chilling...and brought down a flurry of leaves...



it had been very still as we entered the park...
but now some people were coming to mark out...
their football field for their Turkey Day game...

and then, there were the dogs...



barking on the far side of the lake...
and then coming into Molly's "comfort zone"...



after calming her...
we went on our way...



across the lip of the bowl and down onto the street...

turning towards home, we would encounter a number...
of people with dogs [at least 5 big ones...]
headed towards the park...
so I'm thankful we went early...

Happy Thanksgiving to all...

today being Molly's birthday...
I've planned a couple of walks...
hopefully, it won't rain on us...
since the clouds have come in...

but earlier... the sun was out...
and I took some SD 1000 shots...

a week or so ago, [November 14]...
Miz Minka had a post, "planes, trains & algebra headaches"...

the picture she had was of a cute, red, pedal airplane...
I remembered the cute, red pedal part...
but not that it was an airplane...
I misremembered it as a firetruck...

so when I saw this...



I not only took a picture...
but then told MM that one of my neighbors...
had the very toy she had put in her post...

ooooooops....

close...but NO cigar...

sorry about that...

it does make for interesting "yard art" though....


so with the "eating crow" part of this post completed...
