...back home for Molly

I went to the vet to get Molly...
she was real glad to see me...
she needed some help getting into the car...
but none, getting out...

she sprinted for her favorite potty spot...
and spent a while... relieving herself... twice...

then it was inside, where she wanted a drink & some food...
then to lay on her bed....

you can see the bandage...
but the BIG difference is the bigger collar...

the diameter is bigger & she's running into everything...
it's supposed to stay on 2 weeks...

she also has antibiotics...
the pill form of the drops I give kitties...
1 pill, twice a day...

soon, she was acting like she might barf...
so out we went...
no barfing...but a lot of sniffing...
and some frustrated attempts to get at the incision...

you can really see how much larger this collar is...
it's too big for her to be able to get at the incision...
and even so big that the edge can't rub the incision...

coming back into the house...
the "hospitality committee" was there to greet us...
Lucyfur and Gracie both touched noses with Molly...
then Lucyfur went on her way...

Gracie's keen nose for any form of sustenance...
had detected a bit of gravy from Molly's lunch...
on the edge of the collar...
and was nice enough to "clean" it off...
[can't have any dog friend of Gracie's looking "sloppy...]

then they touched noses again...
as if Molly was saying,"thanks for cleaning me up"...
and Gracie answered,"don't mention it... it was my[slurp] pleasure..."

being just a bit annoyed with the bigger collar...
Molly flopped on the floor...
after trying again, unsuccessfully, to get at the incision...

but... with canines... an annoyance doesn't ever really mature...
into a full-blown sulk or tantrum...
like it might with felines...
and she was soon back on her bed...
glad to be home...

and we're so glad she's here...

Oh, poor Molly, two weeks with that nasty E-collar! She looks pretty miserable in the pictures. Well, she'll get used to it in no time, and before you both know it she'll be all better and free of the E! I'm so glad the kittehs are being "supportive" too. :)

...there may end up being almost daily bandage changes because of the bunching... this collar is 25cm...the other was 20cm... so she's bumping into EVERYTHING, poor girl...
I know she appreciates her "godmom's" good thoughts ;)
