I had no web or blog experience...
no frame of reference to even understand the vocabulary...
or navigate the web site......
I had no knowledge or skills to upload pictures...
whether from Google Image search or my own pictures...
my camera at the time could not interface with my computer...
so it was a moot point anyway...
I was "encouraged" to start the blog by Miz Minka...
and on Thanksgiving last year, which was November 22...
I spent a marvelous day, into the very late evening, with her & Mr GT...
and inbetween all the usual Turkey Day cooking & feasting...
some blog site "rehab" had been planned...
but so late was the evening, that Sitemeter didn't get installed...
until after midnight...making today my "Sitemeter" blogoversary...
at this point... I would like to thank ALL the people ...
who have come to my blog for whatever reason...
especially all of you...even in June [?]
who seek "trumpet notes for Silent Night"...
then there's that "don't worry, be happy[?] post Smiley face...
[the Vista one...? & I'm a MAC person...]
that I got from Google...
they want "notes" for that too...
[the song..."don't worry, be happy..."]
as well as any other post title that I borrowed from a song...
those 2 types of visitors must be easily HALF of my total visitors...
but along the way... I've also met some really nice folks...
read some really good things... seen some wonderful pictures...
laughed... cried... rejoiced...& mourned...
so with 1 year under my ample belt...
and 2444 visitors in the books...
I press onward...into this week of anniversaries...
[more on that, later...]
I'd like to thank all of you who have visited, commented & cared...
you are all appreciated ...
and I hope that you will continue to return here...
and I'd especially like to thank...
my blogging, photography & bread machine mentor...
[as well as dog rescuer & God-Mom, extraordinaire...]
for her patience, her skills, her tech [& general] savvy...

As one of those who frequents your blog on a daily basis...although I don't always leave comments, I am always here...I celebrate your anniversary with you and thank MM and Mr. GT for getting you started! Your writing is beautiful and touching, your pictures are great and I have so enjoyed learning about all your "critters!" Keep up the good work!
