I took a picture, of a mushroom in my yard a while back...
and recently noticed several more popping up...
I spotted a really neat one, returning from a walk...
but when I went out the next day, someone or thing had shattered it...
leaving only the pieces behind, so I had to satisfy my fungal urges with these...

I've had some incredible mushrooms grow under my oak tree, very picturesque, but I always imagine they're deadly poisonous and dig them up so the critters or someone's dog or cat doesn't get into them. I should probably give the animals more credit - I'm sure they know what not to eat.
I love the mushrooms in the first photo - they look like lacy fairy parasols.
...they are unusual for my lawn...& had just appeared...
