...decisions, decisions...& progress...

here's where we started this AM...

the general started on installing the new shower plumbing...

soon had the valves for the handles...

then, the plumbing for the shower head...

meanwhile, the stall was being framed-in...

and the location of the bench and door set...

then we began to play with the ped. sink...

making sure that it wasn't too close to the toilet...
but still "centered on the med cabinet opening...
which we can shift to the left about an inch...
by moving the inner brace on the left to the right side...

and since plumbing will be moving[even as I write this, it is...]
the general got to play with the pedestal...
making sure ALL will fit...
we also decided that locating the hot & cold water valves higher...
will sort of hide them under the basin sides[it's 22" wide...]

during a break in the action[ie a lumber yard run by both guys...]
I went to the vets to "visit" the herd...who all seem fine...
all want to come home...NOW...

BUT...

the vet needs to keep all of them into the middle of next week...
to get to every body's teeth, ears, etc...

where they are is away from the sick ones...
it's nice & warm...they'll call me if the food runs low...
they all seemed in good spirits...
and it's SO much easier for me...at this point...
to not have to watch the door as the guys carry big stuff in...
and pile it EVERYWHERE...

so I'm trusting that God is in all of this...
that His timing is perfect...
that we ALL are in the right places...
for this to be accomplished ASAP...

stay tuned for the next episode...

That's a lovely sink. The whole bath will be beautiful when it's done.

I'd loved to hear the hue and cry that erupted at the kennel when you went to visit the troops. "MOMMIE!"

Is that knob and tube wiring in the bathroom? Will you be reworking the electrical too?

...yes it's knob & tube...I've had all the frayed stuff in the attic replaced long ago...some of what you see has been disconnected...but some is still connected... and where it's NOT frayed, in the interior walls...
I'm leaving it alone...I've replaced most of the switches and outlets with new... so I know that wiring is OK...
and there are GFI outlets in both bath & kitchen...
and yes...it was a mighty cry when I visited today...
Molly was beside herself... and most of the kitties are still speaking to me... it might not be until this time next week that they come home...due to the vet's schedule for treating them...
and as long as there are guys going in & out all day...this is better...
