to leave "inappropriate" comments on a stranger's blog...

I've only gotten a few of "those" sorts of comments and deleted them fairly quickly. Never felt the need to enable comment moderation yet, and think to do so connotes a distrust that misrepresents my personality. In general, I have found bloggers, especially quilt/craft bloggers and animal lovers, to be a decent sort. Are we the minority?

I agree with your thoughts, re "moderating comments"... & came to the point I'm at only after a couple of blatant, obnoxious self-promotional comments & the latest, which was unreadable by me... my PDA translated it...
what I find most annoying is that I can't delete comments from the PDA... so they get left until I can get online from the church...
hopefully, this was a short-lived phase, which has run its course...
