a few more gardening macro shots...
a blood orange blossom reaches for the sun...
a squash seedling...up close & personal...
the beginnings of a bean stalk...
a "sweet 100"...already in bloom...
"durango red" marigolds...
a volunteer Japanese Maple I rescued...
joined by 2 others I found struggling up near the redwood tree...
and what would these be?
[hint: extreme macro...]
they came from one of these...
which came from these...
and have been planted in this...
to see if they'll sprout...
when I lived in Chicagoland 30-something years ago...
I planted some grapefruit seeds that actually sprouted & grew...
the little tree eventually died...
but it was fun to grow it...
since much citrus is grafted...
even if it grows...
it probably would never bear fruit...
but it will be interesting to see if it sprouts...
I hope tomorrow to start the soil prep...
so stay tuned for thrilling exploits in the back yard...

Gardening is good for the soul! :) (And the body, too.)
So, this is a comment made from my regular browser. I'll post one in stealth mode in a few minutes. For your Sitemeter-checking enjoyment. ;)
Pssst... Me again. Did I show up on Sitemeter? I've been "on" your blog in stealth mode since about the same time I accessed it via the conventional browser. I'm currently accessing your blog in the "In Private" mode. If you didn't "see" me: yay, Microsoft! (For once.)
...ah yes, Ms "stealth"...it worked...
the "regular" visit appeared...
but not the stealth one...
you know...this stealth visiting is really going to cut down my "numbers"
on Sitemeter...
you'll have to leave a comment from time to time so I know you've been here... :D
have a good week...
